This advertisement is for a Senior Psychologist, CF (Specialist) position located at Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, CA located in Madera County.

This part-time position will be working 20 hours per week. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,684.50 to $7,316.50.


Job Description and Duties

Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services.

Please note: Individuals may be eligible to receive a $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend should they meet the eligibility criteria, including but not limited to remaining employed with CCHCS for six months. Additionally, individuals may be eligible to receive a monthly recruitment and retention differential during their first year with CCHCS (totaling $20,000), should they meet the eligibility criteria. 

IMPORTANT: California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) employees may be eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus should you be selected for hire, and remain employed with CCHCS for 90 days. For a CDCR/CCHCS employee to be considered, a questionnaire must be completed to the best of your knowledge, including the referring employee’s name, classification, PERNR, and work location. The questionnaire will be provided to the selected candidate during the pre-employment process.

Under the general direction of the Chief of Mental Health, Division of Health Care Services Mental Health Program, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), the DSH Coordinator is designated and supervised by the Chief of Mental Health/designee at each CDCR institution. The Department of State Hospital (DSH) Coordinator works collaboratively with his/her assigned institutional staff, other CDCR institutions, Headquarters staff and DSH facilities to ensure that I/Ps are transitioned to and from CDCR and DSH facilities. The DSH Coordinator is an institutional expert in the referral of incarcerated patients to a higher level of care and other related responsibilities.
Travel is not required with this position.
