Job Description and Duties

The Department of State Hospitals-Napa has a full time, limited term with the possibility of becoming permanent vacancy for Clinical Social Worker (Health/Correctional Facility) (Safety). 

 Provide assistance in all phases of the social work program, with an emphasis on liaison with the Conditional Release Program (CONREP); collect data and prepare applications and reports necessary to obtain benefits and community resources for patients; assist in performing casework duties and group activities; and perform other related work. Incumbents ensure public property is protected and safe. In addition, incumbents will respond to emergency situations as trained in Therapeutic Strategies and Interventions (TSI).

The position will be filled based upon budget approval.

• Proof of degree and transcripts showing completion of a master’s degree program from an accredited school of Social Work, approved by the Council on Social Work Education submitted with application STD. 678.
